Inspiration behind the Collection

The Samarkand collection captures Benedicte’s years of work and traveling time around Central Asia. The City of Samarkand is one of the remaining cities of the legendary Silk Road. The collection is a Reverence to the beautiful design of the old cities of Uzbekistan. The mystical blue domes were inspired by Islamic architecture which pays attention to detailed and geometrical elements, precisely measured and structured.

Fresh out of university, she traveled to the ancient city of Samarkand, along the Silk Road—a bold adventure for a young woman with ambitious career goals. Yet, amidst the excitement, she often forgot to slow down and show kindness to herself. It was during these moments of stillness that she discovered the whisper of her soul: a dream to create her own universe and brand. The Samarkand collection reflects the tenderness we should all offer ourselves, while still embracing the risks and adventures that life presents.
